Nintendo is getting all techy on us today. First we had some new Wii U facts that were explained in great detail in an Iwata Asks discussion and now we have been learned that New Super Mario Bros U will run in 1080p.
The information comes from the New Super Mario Bros U website which claims that you can "experience Mario like never before... in full 1080p HD, only on the Wii U console!"
That is the highest definition that games can be displayed in on consoles today. To put it into context, Wii games displayed in 480p so it's obvious that Wii U games will be far better looking.
However, not all Wii U games will run in 1080p. Mass Effect 3 Wii U, for example, will run at 720p just as it did on Xbox 360.
