Coming on Wii U
Looks flipping awesome.
CommanderVideo may have been spruced up a bit for his HD sequel to WiiWare classic Bit.Trip Runner but developers Gaijin hasn't forgotten his retro roots. For the Wii U version of the game will feature Retro Challenges which you can unlock by collecting Famicom cartridges.
As Gaijin's Mike Roush told Official Nintendo Mgazaine: "You will be able to play the Retro Challenges on the Wii U Pad after collecting Famicom cartridges. We have a whole Famicom theme around the Wii Pad, and Disasterpeace made the most amazing music with FamiTracker so it's sounds just like a Famicom game!"
Indeed, the latest issue of Nintendo Power reports that the mini-games that start up when you collect a cartridge play out as if Runner2 were a NES game.
