Nintendo has confirmed that Namco Bandai’s TANK! TANK! TANK! is going free to play on Wii U as part of the weekly eShop update.
Three modes of TANK! TANK! TANK! will be free to download from this Thursday in Europe, with any of the trio of game modes playable for free up to three times per day.
Wii U owners can then pay £1.59 (€1.99) to purchase more game modes and to remove the play-per-day restriction. The extra modes are subject to a price promotion until 28th February, at which point the mode packs will be available for £7.99 (€9.99) each.
TANK! TANK! TANK! has already been released at retail in the US and EU, but was released as a free to play download in Japan, where it used a similar pricing model.
